31 Days of Crafting: First Home Signage

March is National Craft Month! All month long we will be sharing stories from your peers about what they are doing to celebrate and how they are encouraging others to discover the benefits of creativity.

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the mortgage! CHA employee Kristen Farrell and her now husband Jonathan got married this past September. Now, they’re buying a house!

Conveniently, their closing date is in March. So, to celebrate National Craft Month Kristen is making items for their first home.

“Our house is in a lake community and has a deck with a gorgeous waterfront view. Jonathan and I are looking forward to spending a lot of time on the deck together, as well as entertaining family and friends.

To give our deck a homey feel, it needs some homey décor. In this blog post, I am sharing my first, first home craft project. I purchased all of the materials at Michaels, which cost only $25. Many, many more DIY projects are in my future, during National Craft Month, and beyond!”
