We’ve heard a lot of positive feedback on the changes made to the Winter Show. The New CHA Conference features new show hours, unlimited access to events, and more ways to participate. But for those of you who still have questions, check out answers to your most frequently asked questions…
Why did CHA change the Winter Show’s format and schedule?
These improvements are based on repeated member survey and feedback. As a member-driven organization, CHA is always looking for continuous ways to improve the member experience, increase member benefits, and drive business growth for the entire industry. This new show format not only provides a significant savings to members – but with a more convenient schedule aims to help increase participation in business education and networking opportunities at the show.
Why did CHA add the Conference and Trade Show badge fee? What does it include?
CHA members stated in repeated surveys that one of the Top 5 reasons they did not participate in off floor Events and Education was due to the cost of each individual event. By eliminating individual fees and creating one nominal fee to cover the entire Trade Show and Conference, CHA members can save money and make the most of their time at the show.
The new Conference and Trade Show badge fee of $25 Pre-Reg ($50 on site) to member show attendees (excluding Exhibitors) includes total access to the Show floor and Conference – this $25 includes unlimited attendance at Workshops, Seminars, and Special Events including;
- Keynote Presentation
- Exhibitor Welcome Reception
- Annual Business Meeting & Thank-You Breakfast* (CHA members only)
- Winter Show Event: Moonlight Mixer
- Global Gathering: International Reception & Networking Event
This is an unprecedented value to Members who could have been spending nearly $250 per employee to attend the show! (Calculated Tickets include (1) $30 Keynote, (1) $50 Show Event, (1) $50 Seminar Pass, (2) $25 Workshops, and (1) $50 Breakfast event)
Why did CHA change the show hours to 10:00am – 6:00pm?
Through repeated member surveys over the last several years, CHA has heard from members the top reasons they don’t participate in education, networking events and other off-floor activities during the show are schedule conflicts and expense. By pushing the show hours back, while still maintaining the total show hours, we’re freeing the morning hours for more members to participate in business education and networking events. Plus, by charging just a small flat fee for access to the Trade Show floor and the entire Conference program, members can save money while maximizing their participation. Trade Show hours for the Winter show are:
10:00am – 6:00pm January 29th – 31st
9:00am – 2:00pm February 1st
Conference Sessions begin January 28th
What if I haven’t participated in the Education or Events in the past? Why should I attend now?
CHA encourages all members to participate in more than just the Tradeshow. During this time of economic uncertainty and recovery, business education is more important than ever to stay competitive and continue to succeed. With tracks of business seminars tailored specifically to member business types, there is something for everyone at this show. Plus, your badge includes access to the high-profile Keynote presentation and General sessions.
Networking events provide a unique opportunity to speak to prospective or current customers and clients one-on-one and outside of a booth. To make the most of your show experience, take advantage of everything included in your Trade Show and Conference Badge fee!
What if I don’t want to take Seminars or Workshops? What value does my badge now hold?
Not only does your badge fee cover unlimited access to Seminars, Workshops, the Keynote presentation and General Sessions – it also includes an opportunity for four meals during the show. Take advantage of this, and you’ll easily cover the $25 fee, and most likely SAVE money if you had meals for you and your staff in area restaurants:
- Exhibitor Welcome Reception – includes dinner and one drink ticket
- Annual Business Meeting & Thank-You Breakfast* – includes continental breakfast (CHA members only)
- Winter Show Event: Moonlight Mixer – includes dinner and one drink ticket
- Global Gathering: International Reception & Networking Event – includes h’ordeuvres and drinks
Do Exhibitors pay the $25 Conference and Trade Show badge fee too? Do Non-Members pay a badge fee? Is there a Trade Show only badge?
The new Conference and Trade Show badge fee is for CHA member show attendees only. Exhibitors badge policies have not changed – exhibiting companies will receive (4) free badges per 100 sq ft booked, additional badges are $50 ea. All exhibitor badges include unlimited access to the Conference seminars and special events, with the exception of Workshops which exclude supplier badge types.
The Non-Member Conference and Trade Show badge fee is $200.
There is only one badge fee, and badge, for the Conference and Trade Show. The $25 fee covers access to both the Trade Show and Conference, there is no badge type that allows free access to the Trade Show floor only.
Can some Events sell out? Does my Badge give me access to everything?
All events still require individual registration, and tickets, to attend.
- Events (E events) cannot sell out – but you must register for the Events you plan to attend in advance.
- Seminars (S events) cannot sell out – but you must register for the Seminars you plan to attend in advance.
- Workshops (W events) will still contain class-size limits at the Sponsoring companies discretion, so will require individual registration and may sell out before the show.
