ELMWOOD PARK, NJ (July 19, 2010) The Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) will host its first Chicago-area SuperCrop scrapbooking event on July 31, 2010 from
10 a.m. to 11 p.m. during the CHA Craft SuperShow to be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

CHA is partnering with Scrapbook Royalty, a volunteer organization, to host the charity event that will benefit Crops of Luv, a non-profit organization that creates memory books for the children and families that have been granted a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Scrapbookers and crafters alike are invited to come to the Craft SuperShow and participate in the SuperCrop scrapbooking event.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants over 15,000 wishes across the world every year. Thanks to generous donations of funds, supplies and time from supporters, Crops of Luv is able to provide families with beautiful books that capture the memories of their wish experience.

Scrapbook Royalty has raised nearly $300,000 for various causes through unique scrapbooking and crafting events, raffles, and silent auctions. The group also promotes “creative” opportunities for crafters to give.

At the SuperCrop, participants will be able to take part in demonstrations, make-n- take projects and a charity raffle.  The SuperCrop features goody bags and donated products by some of scrapbookings’ premier celebrities.   Tickets are available online for $30 pre-sale or $35 onsite.  Attendees can also add a $25 donation and receive the Royal Add-on packages, including front-of-the-line entry, a free commemorative tote bag, and a bonus goody bag with a special make-n-take kit.
