CELEBRITY APPEAL AT THE CRAFT SUPERSHOW IN ANAHEIM
ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. (January 4, 2010) – The Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) announces a star-studded line-up of internationally recognized celebrities, including Deborah Norville, Wyland, Carol Duvall and Aleene Jackson, scheduled to attend the CHA Craft SuperShow, which is open to the public Jan. 22 and 23, 2010 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.
Deborah Norville, avid knitter, author, Emmy award-winning TV journalist and host of Inside Edition, will knit with SuperShow attendees at the SuperShow Theater at 11 a.m. on Jan. 23 and will be making appearances at the Premier Yarns booth # 708 to discuss her yarn line—Serenity, from the Deborah Norville Collection.
Wyland is one of the most celebrated and recognized artists of our time and has captured the attention of the world with his spectacular marine life paintings and landmark Whaling Wall murals. With half a million collectors in over 30 countries, he has done more than any other artist to raise awareness of the beauty of life on this blue planet. His equally successful Wyland Foundation, in partnership with the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and the Ocean Institute of Dana Point, Calif., is actively engaged in teaching millions of students around the nation about conservation of oceans, rivers, lakes, streams and wetlands. Come by and meet Wyland during his appearance at the SuperShow Theater at 2 p.m. on Jan. 23.
Carol Duvall, craft industry icon and host of the Carol Duvall Show, will host a “Conversation with Carol” session on Jan. 23 at 4 p.m. in the SuperShow Theater and will be meeting crafters and signing books at the JudiKins booth # 720 throughout the SuperShow.
Aleene Jackson, craft industry pioneer and creator of Aleene’s Tacky Glue, the original tacky glue, will be appearing in the Craft Star Station on Jan. 22 at 5 p.m., meeting fans and signing autographs.
Cathie Filian and Steve Piacenza, producers and co-hosts of “Creative Juice” and “Witch Crafts” on HGTV and DIY Network, are D.I.Y. gurus and spokespersons for Plaid Enterprises. The pair will appear in the Craft Star Station on Jan. 22 at 4 p.m. and at the CHA SuperShow Theater at noon on Jan. 23, where they will conduct retro decoupage projects. They will also be on hand at the Plaid booth # 713.
Terri O., Emmy award-winning TV personality, home arts expert, CHA spokesperson and host of www.terriocraftprojects.com, will appear at the SuperShow Theater on Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and on Jan. 23 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. She will also make appearances in the Craft Star Station on Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. and Jan. 23 at 4 p.m. She will be on hand throughout the SuperShow at the Terri O. booth # 401.
