CELEBRITIES COMING IN FORCE TO THE CHA WINTER SHOW
ELMWOOD PARK, NJ (November 24, 2009) — The Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) is pleased to announce that internationally recognized celebrities including Wyland, Deborah Norville, Vanna White and Kathy Ireland will be attending the CHA 2010 Winter Convention & Trade Show in Anaheim, California held from January 24 – 27, 2010 discussing their passion for crafting and various craft product lines.
Wyland is one of the most celebrated and recognized artists and in our time, and has captured the attention of the world with his spectacular marine life paintings and landmark Whaling Wall murals. With half a million collectors in over 30 countries, he has done more than any other artist to raise awareness of the beauty of life on this blue planet. His equally successful Wyland Foundation, in partnership with the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and the Ocean Institute of Dana Point, Calif, is actively engaged in teaching millions of students around the nation about conservation of oceans, rivers, lakes, streams, and wetlands. His latest project, FOCUS (Forests, Oceans, Climate and Us) brings together the U.S. Forest Service, NOAA, the Wyland Foundation, and numerous non-profits to teach young people about forests and ocean – and how these two irreplaceable resources hold the key to the future of water supplies, climate, and global health. Deborah Norville, avid knitter, author, Emmy award-winning television journalist and host of Inside Edition, will be appearing at the Premier Yarns booth to discuss her yarn line—Serenity, from the Deborah Norville Collection. Wheel of Fortune remains one of the top 3 syndicated shows with over 10 million viewers each week. Vanna is an avid crocheter who loves to give handmade gifts to those she loves. Vanna has been the Lion Brand Yarn Company’s spokesperson for 15 years.
